Shedd Aquarium Partnership

Ahead of World Ocean Day 2025, we reached out to Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, Illinois for a curriculum partnership. The initial partnership lasted from March 2025 to June 2025. We met with the Shedd Education Department for initial brainstorming in March. Over the next month our team developed the first draft of 8 ocean themed lesson plans and sent the first drafts to Shedd in April. Shedd gave us in depth feedback on a document and met with us in May to discuss revisions. In May we finalized the lesson plans and in June the content was distributed to teachers through Shedd's network. We now have an informal indefinite partnership with Shedd Aquarium. In this collection you will find the 8 initial lesson plans that we completed with Shedd. The target audience is fifth grade, but these lesson plans have been used by fourth and sixth grade.
